In the beginning, there was nothing..
Aaron Harris creates various design and web projects whilst in education, including media projects such as videography and photography, audio production, and designing flyers for events.
From around 2007 onward, Aaron was creating designs for bands and groups using Photoshop on a preowned gaming PC. This eventually moved on to creating print graphics such as newsletters and letterheading.
In 2010, Harris Web (then known as Harris Wheeler) got its first full-time client; a local business who required a quarterly magazine designed for up to 4000 people. This eventually lead to another two projects; both website design and creation.
From these beginnings of small projects and web development, Aaron went on to work a full time role in a local charity. Here, skills in Microsoft VBA and HTML were built upon as well as being given complete free reign over designs for flyers and advertisements for events and meetings.
One small step for man..
Eventually, the combination of creative and development skills landed Aaron a role in a technical job working alongside professionals in Marketing, Business Development, IT, and Project Management.
For 3+ years, Aaron gleaned as much learning as possible from this role, whilst day to day tasks included creating designs and websites for audiences from 5000 up to millions.
..a giant leap for Create Labs.
In 2016, Harris Web and Second Base Sound Labs were merged to give rise to Create Labs. By using skills and knowledge learned over a multitude of years, projects, and from industry professionals, Create Labs started with a simple 5 projects, slowly working up to maintaining an ongoing client base, offering consultancy and ongoing support for projects from business branding, online training, and events management, to building a brand new social networking platform.
Aiming for the stars
With workloads slowing down, and clients not needing as much work, Create Labs focused on maintaining the business and started to focus more towards being proactive. By looking at gaps in the market, Create Labs now work to the motto Proactive. Not Reactive. Keeping the client at the heart of what we do.
